Mayor of Krasnoyarsk sent to Moscow's detention facility
In the heart of Moscow, a judicial decision has been made concerning Vladislav Loginov, the head of the administration of Krasnoyarsk, who stands accused of two incidents involving a multi-million ruble bribe. He was arrested and remanded into custody for the duration of the investigation.
The morning of June 9 saw Loginov's detainment. Searches were carried out at both the city hall and Loginov's residence.
Later, the Russian federal investigative committee's central apparatus spoke out about the allegations against Loginov. It was revealed that he is suspected of receiving a bribe of approximately 180 million rubles, both in the form of money and construction of a sauna.
According to the investigation, between 2018 and 2024, Loginov (firstly as the city's vice-mayor and then as the mayor) is alleged to have received a bribe from the director of a company, in exchange for assurance of help in winning road repair contracts from the Roads, Infrastructure and Public Space Management Department.
Sources from TASS suggest that the unnamed company is OOO "Promstroy".
It's worth reminding ourselves that a year ago, law enforcement uncovered a cartel involving the repair of roads, in which Dmitriy Sokirka, the former head of the city Transport Department, and Deard Hangyan, the director of OOO "Promstroy", were among the participants. In 2023, the organization received almost a billion rubles for its work as a subcontractor, while the municipal project, as the main contractor, took only around 5 million.
Here's a video from Basmanny Court in Moscow following Loginov's arrest:
At the end of last year, Loginov, along with OOO "Promstroy" and a 73 million ruble bribe between 2018 and 2019, Evgeny Zhvakin, the former head of the Roads, Infrastructure and Public Space Management Department, was arrested. A day later, Alexey Davydov, the former first deputy mayor, was also detained as an accomplice.
The court hearing for the imposition of restraining measures on Loginov took place in Basmanny Court, with law enforcement authorities advocating for his arrest. The court sent the mayor of Krasnoyarsk to a pretrial detention center for a period of 2 months.
