Comedian Matze Knop to be honored with Kaiser-Augustus-Order - Matze Knop Honored with Kaiser Augustus Order for Charity Work in 2026
Comedian Matze Knop will receive the Kaiser Augustus Order in January 2026. The award recognizes his long-standing support for disadvantaged and seriously ill children. The ceremony will take place in Trier, organized by the city’s Carnival Association (ATK).
The Kaiser Augustus Order was created in 1994 to honor individuals who help others despite their own success. Named after Emperor Augustus, the founder of Trier, the prize includes a €5,555.55 donation. Previous recipients include Wolfram Kons, who received the award in 2024.
Knop’s award highlights his ongoing charity work for vulnerable children. The €5,555.55 prize will further support his philanthropic efforts. The ceremony in Trier will mark another year of the Kaiser Augustus Order celebrating selfless dedication.
