"Germany, here's your new hopefuls!" - Matthäus suggests Nagelsmann considers these two stars!
Bringing the Swabian touch to the summer spectacular 2.0!
With our very own European Championships just around the corner (June 14, opening match against Scotland in Munich), the whole of Germany is buzzing about fresh faces to boost national coach Julian Nagelsmann's (36) squad. And who better to dish out advice than our very own record international Lothar Matthäus (62, 150 caps)?
As Matthäus pens down his thoughts in "Sky", he puts forward a compelling case for two Stuttgart stars: Führich and Undav. Matthäus argues, "Füh dich has already had a taste of the national team, and Undav is another to keep an eye on. If they retain their incredible form and Stuttgart stays at the top of the Bundesliga game, it's worth pondering over them."
So what makes these two such a hot topic for discussion?
Under the masterful guidance of coach Sebastian Hoeneß (41), Stuttgart has transformed into a European heavyweight contender (currently in 3rd place in the Bundesliga), and these two players are driving the train.

When it comes to dominating the left flank, Führich has become an unstoppable force, netting three goals and dishing out five assists in every single game. On the other hand, Attacker Undav started out as a substitute for top shooter Guirassy (27), but stepped into the limelight when tragedy struck, bagging eight goals and contributing two assists.
The Man Behind the Match-Winning Duo
Führich’s DFB debut shone bright in Nagelsmann's inaugural match against the USA (3:1) as a substitute. Alas, tragedy struck on his subsequent DFB assignments against Turkey (2:3) and Austria (0:2). Undav was invited for the national team roster but had to pull out due to an unexpected impediment.

The National Team Dilemma
The Twist In the Tale: The international Future of Undav is up for grabs. With his Turkish and German passports on the table, it's a mystery as to which nation he'll choose to represent in the upcoming European Championships. Undav: "I'd love to play for either team. But I'd truly cherish the opportunity to represent my home nation during the European Championship."
Lothar Matthäus Urges Virtue in Men's Football
Continuing on in his column, Matthäus was pleased with our U17s' World Cup triumph – and gave the boys a fair share of advice for the men's team as well. "I don't want to compare the two, but in terms of their relentless spirit, their unity, their selfless teamwork, and their performance as a unit, we've been missing that in the men's team in recent major tournaments."
Perhaps the two Swabians will restore some of that admirable passion to the men's team soon ...
