Battlefield 6 was revealed to the world on Thursday (24 July) through a reveal trailer. The anticipated game is set to launch with nine diverse multiplayer maps predominantly based on real-world settings, with additional maps and several classic map remasters leaked.

At launch, players can expect to battle it out on maps such as Siege of Cairo, Empire State, Iberian Offensive, Liberation Peak, Operation Firestorm (a remastered map from Battlefield 3/4), Saints Quarter, Manhattan Bridge, New Sobek City, and Kundara Valley / Mirak Valley.

Leaks suggest that there will be 11 new maps in total, set in locations across Brooklyn, California, Cairo, Gibraltar, and Tajikistan. The alleged Battle Royale map, named Lyndon Beach, is rumoured to have around nine main points of interest and more than 20 smaller points of interest.

While Electronic Arts (EA) has not officially confirmed these claims, Temporyal, a reliable leaker in the gaming community, has revealed details about the Battle Royale mode. However, it's important to note that the Battle Royale mode is not expected to be available at the game's launch.

Regarding skins, the leaked Battlefield 6 skins revealed so far appear to be fully military-themed without wacky or crossover characters from other franchises. EA and DICE seem to aim for a more grounded aesthetic for character skins, avoiding cartoonish or pop-culture crossovers.

As for the game's development, EA opened up its Battlefield Labs programme, where gamers from all over the world have been able to try and test the new Battlefield game. Screenshots of operators in Battlefield 6 have been reposted in the Battlefield Subreddit, focusing on military patterns and camouflage.

There are also leaked reports about the Battlefield 6 release date being sooner than expected. These claims about Battlefield 6 maps have come from the 1BF Telegram Group, known for its datamining in relation to Battlefield Labs.

However, it's crucial to remember that none of these claims have been officially confirmed by Electronic Arts. The gaming community eagerly awaits more official updates on Battlefield 6. The alleged Battlefield Royale mode, the final release date, and more details about the game's features are still to be announced.
