A large barn at a winery in Gottenheim was destroyed by a fire early on Monday. The blaze caused significant damage, though no one was injured in the incident. Emergency crews rushed to the scene to tackle the flames. The fire broke out at a vineyard facility in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district. Over 100 firefighters from Gottenheim, Freiburg, Gundelfingen, and St. Georgen worked together to bring the situation under control. Their combined effort was needed to extinguish the flames. The winery now faces the challenge of recovering from the fire's destruction. Replacing the lost equipment will be a priority before normal operations can resume. Investigations into the cause of the blaze are expected to continue.
