In the recent round of job fairs held in Dumaguete City, SM Seaside City Cebu, and Bohol, a whopping 259 job seekers were offered positions, surpassing the turnout during the Labor Day job fairs in Cebu and Dumaguete the year prior.

On a phone interview with Roberto Cabardo, DOLE 7 Public Information Officer, on May 4, 2025, he revealed that a total of 939 job seekers registered for the three job fairs.

The lucky hires for the 2025 job fairs were announced on our website Cebu on May 5, 2024. Out of the registered job seekers, 191 were offered positions at the job fairs held in SM Seaside City Cebu, Cebu City, and the Lamberto Macias Sports and Cultural Center in Dumaguete City on May 1, 2024.

Details for 2025 show that 301 applicants registered in Dumaguete, of which 62 were hired. Among the hires, 39 were men and 23 were women.

The SM Seaside City Cebu job fair saw the highest registration with 508 applicants, of which 130 were hired. The breakdown for the hires stands at 50 men and 80 women.

In Bohol, 130 applicants registered for the job fair, with 67 of them being hired. This included 35 men and 32 women.

Cabardo emphasized the efficiency of the job fairs in providing swift employment opportunities for job seekers in the region, especially considering the increasing hires each year based on the data available.

It is estimated, based on the 939 registered applicants in 2025, that 439 were men and 500 were women.
