A fire broke out at the Bergstraßenhalle sports hall in Laudenbach on Monday evening. Emergency services rushed to the scene after the blaze was reported at around 7 p.m. The incident led to a large-scale evacuation of free people inside the building.
The fire occurred on 27 February 2026 at the sports hall in the Rhein-Neckar district. Firefighters, police, and paramedics quickly arrived to handle the situation. Around 150 people were evacuated from the building as a precaution.
About 20 individuals received medical attention, with several treated for smoke inhalation. Despite the scale of the operation, no serious injuries were immediately reported. Authorities have not yet determined what caused the fire.
