In the heart of Gelsenkirchen, a chilling incident unfolded at the "Haus Mathey" pub in the Bulmke-Hüllen district. Just before 3:45 am on a Saturday night, pub employee Richarda Andritzky (61) was met with an unexpected encounter. Waiting in the hallway, a masked burglar, presumably, confronted her.

Sporting a blue ski jacket, hood up, and concealed by a scarf or shawl around his face, the intruder rounded on the resilient woman, who has amassed over 20 years in the catering trade. With a firm demeanor, she demanded to know his intentions.

Fortunately, the robber's firearm seemed to suffer a mechanical hiccup. Clicking and malfunctioning, it discharged a cartridge, which clattered to the floor, accompanied by a faint gasoline odor. Not missing a beat, the crook ordered her to stay put and vanished into the night, leaving behind his misbehaving weapon.

Shaken but intact, Richarda reflected, "I've become more vigilant and cautious moving forward. I won't let this cowardly act control my life. But I can't accept it when some low-life tries to steal what we've toiled for. That's simply unacceptable!"

Police are currently gathering clues and descriptions to track down the suspect, who stands at about 1.7 meters tall with a slim build. Dressed in black jeans and a blue ski jacket with a hood, his language was fluent German without an accent.

Interested bystanders or witnesses with details of the incident are encouraged to supply information to the authorities. Though specific details of the investigation and security measures taken are beyond my knowledge, keeping an eye out for further reports and official statements would remain the most reliable source for up-to-date and accurate information.
