Mascha Schilinski secures the Jury Prize at Cannes Film Festival

At the 78th annual Cannes Film Festival, Berlin-born filmmaker Mascha Schilinski and Spanish director Oliver Laxe shared the Jury Prize for their respective films "In die Sonne schauen" and "Sirât." The festivities will conclude on Saturday evening with the presentation of the Palme d'Or and other accolades, despite a significant power outage in Cannes on the previous day.

Overseen by an international jury headed by French actress Juliette Binoche, the awards ceremony is set to be hosted by French actor Laurent Lafitte. The Jury Prize, one of the most prestigious awards given out during the festival's main competition, was shared between the two films for their remarkable contributions to cinema.
