Marvel Comics Enters a New Intellectual Property Conflict - Predator Stands as the Adversary

In the comic book realm over the past year, it's been the Alien and Godzilla going toe-to-toe with Marvel superheroes, but it doesn't stop there. Enter the Predator, who's set to make waves with both live-action and animated movies this year. Following their encounters with the Black Panther, Wolverine, and Spider-Man (starting this week), this intergalactic huntmaster is gearing up for the five-issue event called Predator Kills the Marvel Universe. Credits go to returning writer Ben Percy and Marcelo Ferreira, the artist behind vs. Spider-Man.

The Predator King is taking on Marvel's finest and villainous all-stars. Not that it's a mere title, mind you. The Yautja snatched some Vibranium in vs. Black Panther, and it'll be the game-changer, bridging the gap between Spider-Man, the X-Men, and a battleground called Earth.

Ben Percy dropped a hint to IGN, stating that every character is in danger, and no one's sacred. In his words, "It's not misdirection. Your favorite heroes and villains will fall-even as others rise up against this extinction-level event. [...] Earth is now a hunting preserve." August 13 is the start of this adrenaline-pumping series.

As for the future, don't expect the Predator to rest on his laurels. The Predator generally likes to keep moving, so who knows which universe he'll conquer next. Keep your armor tight.

Mark your calendars for more updates on the Marvel Universe, the latest on Star Wars, Star Trek, and all things Doctor Who. Oh, and do catch the latest Marvel films and TV shows, and stay tuned for what's next in the DC Universe.
