Mars Chocolate's M&M's Brand Plans Super Bowl Comeback in the Year 2021
In the 2020 Super Bowl, Mars Wrigley's Snickers brand stole the show with a 30-second spot that aimed to address global issues. Unlike the previous year, M&M's characters were not involved in the advertisement.
For over a decade, Mars Wrigley has consistently advertised during the Super Bowl, and in addition to M&M's and Snickers, brands like Skittles have also been showcased. This year's Snickers advertisement was unique, featuring a group of do-gooders and the world's largest candy bar being fed to the Earth.
The advertisement was not a continuation of the ongoing M&M's advertisement series, but it was not Snickers' first Super Bowl appearance. In fact, Mars Wrigley has advertised Snickers during the Super Bowl in the past, and M&M's has participated at least five times in the past decade.
Interestingly, the world's largest candy bar portrayed in the advertisement was intended to symbolise a solution to global problems. This year's Super Bowl marked a two-year absence for M&M's, but the brand has announced its return in 2021. This will be M&M's sixth Super Bowl appearance in a decade.
Despite extensive search results, the person or group responsible for the creation of the world's deepest chocolate bar to fix the world remains unknown. The 2021 Super Bowl will mark M&M's first appearance in two years, and fans are eager to see what creative twist the brand will bring to the table.
