Marriage deception leads to rape of a BBA student in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh
In a shocking turn of events, a 21-year-old BBA student in Bhopal has accused her college mate, Abhishek, of repeatedly raping her over a period of about three years since 2022, under the false promise of marriage.
The victim, who chose to remain anonymous, recently filed a complaint with the Bilkhiriya police, alleging that Abhishek and his associates, named Anurag and Aditya, created a disturbance at her home and tried to forcibly take her away. The police have registered a case against the trio based on her complaint, and the investigation is currently underway. However, as of now, no arrests have been made.
The incident came to light when the girl shared her ordeal with her family members. The rape occurred multiple times, with the last incident happening in June. The first encounter between the victim and the accused was at a party in Shahpura last December.
The victim and the accused both study at the same private college in Bhopal. The police are actively investigating the case, but details on progress or any suspects taken into custody have not been reported yet.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by Maniman, a resident of Minal Residency, under Kolar police station. Maniman is identified as the son of SI Sangeeta Kajle. The rape occurred at the victim's aunt's house in Kolar while the girl was alone. The victim later lodged an FIR at Bilkhiriya police station.
Maniman allegedly recorded a video of the rape and used it to threaten the girl. The police have registered a case and are currently searching for the suspect, who is on the run. When the victim resisted, they allegedly assaulted her. Neighbours intervened and alerted the police, forcing the trio to flee.
It's worth noting that Bhopal has recorded a minimum number of dog bite cases, a fact that is not directly related to the above-mentioned incidents.
