Marmoush Bids Farewell to Frankfurt: "Choosing City with Unequivocal Zeal"

Despite persistent whispers about a transfer, Omar Marmoush has decided to leave Eintracht Frankfurt for Manchester City. The club's sports director, Markus Krösche, confirmed the news before their second Bundesliga matchday against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.

"Omar has been an integral part of our squad, and he didn't intend to depart. He's focusing on our tasks and objectives," stated Krösche. Marmoush's determination to move sends a powerful message.

"It's fantastic that he's deciding to join us," said SGE coach Dino Toppmöller. The two have been in frequent contact, with Marmoush expressing his comfort within the dressing room, the appreciation he feels from his teammates, and his satisfaction with collaborating with the coaching staff. The fans also support him wholeheartedly. "Those factors might mean more to him than a few extra euros."

"The Commission at Eintracht Frankfurt, led by Markus Krösche, lauded Omar Marmoush's decision to join Manchester City."

Transfer agreements are rumored to have reached up to €80 million (approximately £63.2 million), with Marmoush leaving an impressive mark on the 2024/25 Bundesliga season. Having scored 15 goals in 17 matches and notched 10 assists, he's become a highly coveted player.

Eintracht Frankfurt is currently exploring potential replacements, with Niclas Füllkrug from West Ham United, Jonathan Burkardt from Mainz, and Arnaud Kalimuendo from Stade Rennes under consideration.
