Mark your calendars for the 2025 Village Halloween Parade in New York City's Greenwich Village on Friday, October 31. This year's theme, 'Potluck', celebrates community, creativity, and connection. The world's biggest Halloween parade expects over 80,000 participants and 2 million spectators.

The parade begins at Canal Street and Sixth Avenue, traveling up Sixth Avenue to 15th Street. For the best viewing, stand along Sixth Avenue, with the most crowded areas between Bleecker Street and 14th Street. The parade runs from 7:00 PM to around 11:00 PM.

To participate, arrive in costume between 6:30 PM and 9:00 PM at the lineup between Sixth Avenue and Canal Street, entering only from the east or south. The subway is the recommended mode of transport, with the L train running every 5-8 minutes. Some stations may have limited entries and exits.

The Village Halloween Parade, starting as a small neighborhood walk in 1973, now attracts massive crowds. This year's 'Potluck' theme encourages unity and creativity. Participation is free, but a costume is mandatory. Join the celebration and be part of history.
