Celebrating Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's Birthday: 12 Illuminated Bridges in Bangkok

In a grand cultural event, 12 bridges across the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok will be illuminated from August 10 to 13, 2025. The illuminated bridges include the Maha Chesadabodindranusorn Bridge, Krung Thon Bridge (Sang Hi), Memorial Bridge (Phra Phuttha Yodfa Bridge), Phra Pok Klao Bridge, Taksin Bridge (Somdet Phra Chao Taksin Maharat Bridge), Bhumibol Bridge 1, Bhumibol Bridge 2, Krung Thep Bridge, Rama III Bridge, Rama IV Bridge, Rama V Bridge, and Rama VII Bridge.

The lighting event aims to create a festive atmosphere in Bangkok, and it is expected to attract both tourists and locals alike. The lights will be on from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM daily, with extended lighting until midnight on August 12 to honour the Queen Mother's birthday.

This lighting project is organized by the Department of Rural Roads with support from the Metropolitan Electricity Authority to celebrate the Queen's benevolence and national significance. The public is invited to view the illuminated bridges in Bangkok and its surrounding areas.
