🚢 Sports Boats Go Up in Flames at Rhine Marina 🚀
A luckless day at the docks in Germersheim, Germany, as recreational watercraft erupted in a fiery blaze at the Rhine marina.
According to local water authorities, a vessel docked at the pier burst into flames around midday on Thursday. The blaze quickly spread to two adjoining sports boats, causing widespread destruction. Brave firefighters battled the flames and managed to snuff them out, but remnants of scorched plastic debris floated in the harbor basin [3]. The authorities reported the remains of the boats.
The probe into the cause of the fire shed light on a neglected cigarette butt as the primary culprit [4]. As a result, a strict ban on smoking at the marina has been implemented.
