Police in Rosenheim announce a change in leadership, as Marisa Burger steps down and is replaced by a new officer. - "Marisa Burger Steps Down as Head of Rosenheim Police Force, Successor Announced"
=====================================================================
Sarah Thonig, a familiar face in the "Rosenheim-Cops" police headquarters, will be stepping into a new role for the upcoming 26th season. After 25 years of service, Marisa Burger, who has been playing the iconic character Miriam Stockl, will be leaving the show.
Thonig, a 33-year-old actress, has been part of the "Rosenheim-Cops" ensemble since 2014, where she plays the character Christin Lange, who works at the reception desk. From the 26th season onwards, she will take over the key role of the police secretariat.
Burger, 52, is well-known for her memorable catchphrase "Es gabat a Leich" ("There's a body"), which she has delivered countless times during her two-decade tenure on the show. She will appear one final time in the 25th season before departing to pursue new projects.
In the upcoming season, Thonig's character Christin Lange will be "promoted" to the secretary position, becoming central to the series' storylines. This role change is expected to open new dramatic possibilities, handled with the show's signature humor and attention to detail. However, Thonig has acknowledged that the famous line will likely remain connected uniquely to Burger's character, suggesting that her version of the secretary will have a distinct identity.
The newcomer to replace Burger as Miriam Stockl has not been specified. Max Müller, who plays Police Sergeant Michi Mohr, will remain on board despite recent rumors.
The final season of "Die Rosenheim-Cops" with Marisa Burger will start this fall. New episodes will be available from September 30 in the ZDF media library and app, and on linear television from October 7. The series will air every Tuesday at 7:25 PM on linear television.
This transition maintains continuity on the show while introducing a new dynamic in the police secretariat role. Thonig, a Munich native, is not a new face in the police presidency of "Rosenheim-Cops". Her new role was reported by "ZDFheute".
