The 52nd Daytime Emmy Awards, set to take place on October 17 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, promises to be an exciting event for the television industry.

This year, the ceremony will be hosted by Mario Lopez, who succeeded previous hosts including Sheryl Underwood and Carrie Ann Inaba. Lopez, known for his work on Access Hollywood, has also been selected as the emcee for the event.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences will stream the event live at watch.theemmys.tv and via The Emmys app, making it accessible to a wider audience.

In terms of nominations, it's a close race between three popular daytime soap operas. The Young and the Restless leads with 19 nominations, followed closely by General Hospital with 16. Days of Our Lives is not far behind with 13 nominations.

Among the nominees, Drew Barrymore and Kelly Clarkson each have nine nominations, making them strong contenders for the awards.

In recognition of their significant contributions to the industry, several individuals have been inducted into the Silver Circle. Kate Linder, known for her work on The Young and the Restless, and James Reynolds from Days of our Lives are among this year's inductees. Greg Barna, Director of Photography on various shows, and Judy Blye Wilson, a Casting Director on multiple soap operas, are also part of this esteemed group.

Star Jones, who has worked as Host and Executive Producer on Divorce Court and The View, is another Silver Circle inductee.

In a special announcement, the 2025 Gold Circle inductee was revealed to be Jane Elliott from General Hospital.

For the first time since 2018, tickets to the Daytime Emmys Awards will be available for public purchase through Ticketmaster. The ticket prices start at $75 plus applicable fees.

As a part of the build-up to the event, Access Hollywood is collaborating with the Daytime Emmys for five nights of segments leading up to the ceremony.
