Marietta's Chalktoberfest Kicks Off With Craft Beer Festival

Marietta's Chalktoberfest began on Saturday with a Craft Beer Festival, presenting unlimited tastings of over 120 craft beers and 25 wines. The event, free and open to the public, also showcased live music and local food vendors. Proceeds from Sunday's Chalk Art Competition will benefit the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art, which specializes in American fine art.

The festival, held at Marietta Square, attracted a large crowd eager to sample the diverse selection of beverages. Attendees enjoyed unlimited tastings, with no entry fee required. The event was organized by the Lions Club, who will also oversee Sunday's Community Chalk Art Competition. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., participants can create chalk masterpieces and compete for prizes, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the festival.

Chalktoberfest continues on Sunday with the Community Chalk Art Competition. The event is free and open to the public, offering an opportunity for both artistic expression and community engagement. Proceeds from the festival will support the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art, contributing to its mission of promoting American fine art.
