Mariella Ahrens expresses significant joy and contentment

A year of love and passion has swept Mariella Ahrens and Marco van Dré off their feet, the actress and entrepreneur duo basking in joy and serenity uncommon in their lives. "We're absolutely smitten, and I haven't felt this content and carefree in a long while," Ahrens confessed to Bunte. Van Dré is already contemplating the future, musing, "With Mariella, I can envision everything - even tying the knot!"

The chance encounter in a Cologne bar ignited their love story. Van Dré reminisced, "When our eyes locked for the first time, it was love at first sight. I strode over and fell head over heels!" He was captivated by Ahrens dancing, admiring the enigmatic aura around her. The night flowed effortlessly, their conversation the only thing that mattered until the bar beckoned them to leave, hours later.

A Dream Match Made in Heaven

Van Dré gushes about Ahrens, "She's my absolute dream woman. The woman I want to spend the rest of my days with."

In contrast, Ahrens spoke about her recent singleness, having been alone for approximately four years. During this period, she tried long-distance relationships. However, she realized her needs required closeness, stating, "With the passage of time and relationship experiences, you learn what works and what doesn't."

Ahrens yearned for a partner "who complements me, someone I can age with, someone who's by my side through thick and thin." Her faith in love was restored, she emphasized, "Unexpected love can always happen. I'm living proof of that."

A History of Love and Loss

Ahrens, known for her roles in "Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten" and reality shows like "Ich bin ein Star - Holt mich hier raus!," has had her share of marital ups and downs. She shares a daughter, Isabella, from her relationship with the Croatian entrepreneur Dragan Banic. In 2001, Ahrens married investment banker Jost Paffrath, but their union lasted only a year before they divorced in 2004.

Ahrens tied the knot with her second husband, Patrick Graf von Faber-Castell, in 2006, who adopted Isabella during their marriage. The couple welcomed a daughter, Lucia, in 2007. Public declarations of separation surfaced in 2012, and their divorce was finalized in 2015. Ahrens also posed for Playboy three times, most recently in March of this year, after previous appearances in 2001 and 2004.

Intriguingly, Van Dré hails from Hamburg but has resided near Düsseldorf in recent years. He is actively involved in philanthropy, having founded the animal welfare organization Veto. Unlike Ahrens, Van Dré is a bachelor without children, as revealed during the interview with Bunte.
