Maria Tarhanidis named SiriusPoint’s new Chief Investment Officer in 2025

SiriusPoint Ltd. has named Maria Tarhanidis as its new Chief Investment Officer. She will take up the role on December 2, 2025, bringing more than 25 years of experience in investment leadership. The company highlighted her deep expertise in managing complex portfolios and driving strategic growth.

Tarhanidis joins SiriusPoint from Brighthouse Financial, where she served as Managing Director and Head of Alternative Investments. Before that, she held senior positions at MetLife, General Motors Asset Management, and Deutsche Bank. Her career spans asset management, risk oversight, and investment strategy.

Tarhanidis will officially begin her duties in early December. Her appointment follows a career marked by high-level roles in global financial firms. The move aims to bolster SiriusPoint’s investment operations with her extensive experience in alternative assets and risk management.
