Mari Kattman unveils the music video for 'Typical Girl', track from her upcoming album 'Year Of The Katt', on Metropolis Records
American electronic music artist, Mari Kattman, is set to embark on her first UK tour with Assemblage 23 in October 2025. The tour, marking Assemblage 23's largest UK tour in several years, will visit several cities, including Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, Sheffield, and London.
Mari Kattman, a Boston-based vocalist, songwriter, and producer, self-produced her latest album "Year Of The Katt," which was released via Metropolis Records in late June 2025. The opening track of the album, "Typical Girl," recently got a music video treatment, filmed in downtown Providence, Rhode Island by Mark Allison of 401FilmsPVD.
In an interview, Kattman commented on the theme of "Typical Girl," stating that there are many misunderstandings about what it is to be a woman.
Mari Kattman made her debut with COP International in 2022, releasing her first EP with the label, "Is It Really That Bad" in May 2022. She later joined Metropolis Records. Besides her work with these labels, Kattman has also collaborated with Jean-Marc Lederman on the project Mari and the Ghost.
