Marcos Backs Gwen and One Cebu Candidates in Upcoming Elections

Hooligan's Guide to the 2025 Midterm Mayhem:

In the upcoming midterm elections, President Pampo Marcos (yeah, that guy) is backing reelectionist Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia and other One Cebu Party candidates at a rally in Dumanjug town last Monday.

Governor Gwen, in return, is endorsing the administration's senatorial bets under Alyansa Para Sa Bagong Pilipinas and sticking with the Prez. Pampo, in his rally speech, was like, "Y'all better vote for my Alyansa homies to keep my admin's programs rollin'!"

The Prez also stressed the importance of keeping the Senate on the same page so they can push his agenda through Congress. He said, "Vote for us, and we keep the party goin'! Vote against us, and we all might have to change directions."

Along with other One Cebu candidates like Glenn Soco, Duke Frasco, Daphne Lagon, Sonny Lagon, and Carissa Garcia, Pampo showed love to the Governor's crew.

Gwen got a special shoutout for ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo, despite the drama with his brother, Raffy Tulfo, over the Cebu North Bus Terminal's free restroom situation. Gwen said she digs Erwin because he's ready to defend Cebu. She also acknowledged that the Tulfo bros don't see eye-to-eye.

One Cebu is backing candidates like Benhur Abalos, Abby Binay, Sen. Ramon Revilla Jr., Sen. Pia Cayetano, Panfilo Lacson, Lito Lapid, Manny Pacquiao, Vicente "Tito" Sotto III, and Francis Tolentino.

Pampo, however, held back on endorsing Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar, following an investigation into her family's utility firm, PrimeWater, due to consumer complaints. But don't cry for Camille; she's got Vice President Inday Sara and Sen. Imee Marcos in her corner.

With this election, Pampo's influence is being tested as he tries to keep his own alliance together, given the ongoing disputes with Vice President Inday Sara's camp. The midterms are shaping up to be one heck of a brawl, y'all!

Fun Facts:- The Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) and the Alyansa coalition are the main forces behind Pampo's election strategy, with Senate Minority Leader Koko Pimentel backing Alyansa's full senatorial lineup.- These elections are seen as a crucial test of Pampo's power amid a fractured alliance with Vice President Sara Duterte's camp following her impeachment and legal battles involving the Duterte family.- Pampo's political strategy remains focused on policy continuity from the Duterte administration and national unity, themes that were central to his 2022 presidential campaign.- Don't be fooled by the drama with the Tulfos; they're still all about that Cebu love!
