"March of the National Flag: Homage to Mother India, Liberty Champions, and Valiant Soldiers, Declares Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath"

The 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal, is a nationwide movement encouraging every Indian to hoist the national flag (Tiranga) at their homes as a symbol of patriotism, unity, and pride during Independence Day celebrations. This transformative initiative, launched by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow, is much more than flag hoisting; it is an emotional, participatory campaign reinforcing national identity and collective remembrance of India’s independence struggle.

Uniting the Nation

The 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign aims to unite 1.4 billion citizens emotionally under the flag's timeless colours, fostering a shared sense of patriotism and civic pride. During the 78th Independence Day, this movement is expected to create a powerful display of unity, reinforcing the idea that every Indian household is a beacon of the nation's pride.

The Symbolism of the Tiranga

The campaign also seeks to promote awareness about the flag's symbolism as a living emblem of India’s unity, diversity, and resilience. The tricolor, seen as a symbol of the nation's pride and respect for its soldiers, is a reminder of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and great leaders during Amrit Kaal.

Wide Engagement and Participation

The 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign is engaging the public widely through volunteer programs and community participation. Self-Help Groups are manufacturing and distributing flags across urban and rural areas, encouraging active participation from every corner of the nation.

A Mass Movement

This mass movement is cutting across geographical, social, and institutional boundaries. Activities are phased through August, culminating on Independence Day with a national unified display of the flag. Digital platforms are also being provided for citizens to participate actively and receive certificates, deepening digital and grassroots involvement.

More Than Just a Flag Hoisting

Har Ghar Tiranga in 2024 and 2025 is not just about flag hoisting; it is a celebration of India’s freedom and a pledge to uphold values like unity, integrity, and progress. Yogi Adityanath, during the Tiranga Yatra in Lucknow, highlighted India's global standing, particularly during Operation Sindoor.

The Tiranga Yatra in Lucknow

In Lucknow, the Tiranga Yatra was accompanied by chants of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Vande Mataram'. Yogi Adityanath led the Yatra, which took place in the streets of Lucknow, and took selfies with the participants, particularly the youth. The Tiranga Yatra was attended by a large number of people, making it feel as though the entire nation had gathered in Lucknow.

Support from Leaders

Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, State Ministers Swatantra Dev Singh and Kapildev Agarwal, MLAs Neeraj Bora, Jaya Devi, OP Srivastava, MLCs Mahendra Singh, Mukesh Sharma, Umesh Dwivedi, BJP Mahanagar President Anand Dwivedi, and senior BJP leader Neeraj Singh attended the Tiranga Yatra led by CM Yogi Adityanath.

The Spread of Tiranga Yatras

Tiranga Yatras are taking place across villages, towns, and districts, including in Uttar Pradesh, where people are participating in Har Ghar Tiranga and Selfie with Tiranga campaigns. This widespread participation is a testament to the campaign's ability to unite the nation and foster a sense of pride and patriotism.

Yogi Adityanath also cautioned against forces attempting to fracture social unity and urged that such elements must be exposed. He appealed to 140 crore citizens to rise above personal interests, dedicate themselves to the nation, and actively participate in the celebration of independence. The 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign is a powerful reminder of the importance of unity, patriotism, and the celebration of India's democratic values and freedom.
