Marc Márquez accelerates recovery with karting and motorcycle drills ahead of MotoGP return

Marc Márquez has stepped up his recovery by combining go-karting and motorcycle tests ahead of his MotoGP return. The six-time world champion is working to rebuild strength in his injured shoulders and arms. His latest training sessions took place near Tarragona, where he pushed his limits on both two and four wheels. Márquez recently trained at the Karting-Areal von Coma-ruga, a track next to the Circuit de Vendrell, south of Barcelona. The facility was chosen for its technical layout, helping him sharpen reflexes and endurance. He had previously visited the area with his brother Alex during his time with Honda. Go-karting has become a central part of his recovery plan. The high-intensity steering and physical demands of karting are helping him regain strength after surgery. Experts guided his sessions, ensuring he progressed safely. For the first time since his operation, Márquez also tested a motorcycle. At the Flat Track Arena in Alcarràs, he rode a modified Ducati cross bike, drifting through corners to assess his control and fitness. The session marked a key milestone in his preparation for a full MotoGP comeback. Márquez’s mixed training approach aims to restore his physical condition before returning to competition. Both karting and motorcycle drills are designed to rebuild the strength and precision needed for top-level racing. His progress will determine when he can rejoin the MotoGP grid at full capacity.
