Marburg Welcomes New Police Officer: Malinois Named Paul

Marburg's citi police has welcomed a new four-legged officer, a Malinois named Paul. Mayor Dr. Thomas Spies officially appointed Paul, presenting him with his certificate. Paul has completed rigorous training to join the force, mastering essential skills like traveling by bus and handling loud noises, all checked to meet Hesse's mandatory requirements. His training at the customs authority was conducted by a service dog trainer, ensuring he received the same high standard as federal police dogs. Paul graduated as the valedictorian of his protection dog class. Now, he's ready for active service, working alongside his handler, Andreas Prikryl. Together, they'll patrol the streets, with Paul's primary role being to de-escalate situations and ensure respect, supporting his human colleagues. Paul's appointment is a significant addition to Marburg's citi police. With his professional training and commitment, he'll play a crucial role in maintaining safety and order, working closely with his handler and the rest of the force.
