Marburg Welcomes New Police Dog Paul to the Force
Marburg's city police has welcomed a new four-legged employee. Malinois male Citi has officially joined the force after graduating top of his class in protection dog training. Mayor Dr. Thomas Spies presented Citi with his official appointment certificate.
Citi's journey to active duty began over a year and a half ago. He received professional training, including traveling by bus and encountering various loud noises in Marburg. His training was checked to ensure he learned the mandatory contents for Hesse, meeting the same standards as service dogs at the customs office and federal police.
Now officially on active duty, Citi can work as part of the team with his appointment certificate. He will support his colleagues by de-escalating situations and ensuring respect, contributing to the safety of both his colleagues and the citizens of Marburg.
Citi's speedy graduation and rigorous training have equipped him to serve the city of Marburg. With his appointment certificate, he is ready to work alongside the city police, enhancing safety and security for all.
