Mansour Sheikh, participates in volleyball games during Abu Dhabi's Summer Sports season
The Abu Dhabi Summer Sports (ADSS) event, held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), has been praised by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed for its commitment to promoting active lifestyles and community engagement.
Spanning over 37,000 square meters, the ADSS event is one of the largest indoor sports activations in the region, offering a climate-controlled environment for more than 12 team sports and individual activities. The event features 52 indoor, air-conditioned tracks and courts, including a 1.2-kilometer indoor running track, making it an ideal destination for cardio training during the summer months.
Sheikh Mansour, who met with the organisers of the event, commended the level of organisation and the variety of sports and activities on offer. He took part in a volleyball match during the event, showcasing his support for the initiative.
The ADSS event is not just about sports, but also about fostering a sense of community. As part of the event, a volleyball match involving athletes from the community took place. Additionally, the event caters to families and children, with programmes dedicated to them.
Other notable events scheduled during the same period include the HYROX Abu Dhabi 2025, a fitness race held at the ADNEC on July 19, 2025, and the ALOFT Indoor Run at ADSS 2025, scheduled for August 16, 2025.
Sheikh Mansour emphasised the importance of the ADSS event in encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle, stating that it provides a sporting environment that is accessible to people of all ages and interests. By doing so, the event is making a significant contribution to the well-being of the community in Abu Dhabi.
