Manipur's Tallest Peak Scaled by a Youth from Telangana to Promote Anti-Drug and Anti-Betting App Campaign

In a unique endeavor to combat drug abuse and betting addiction, Bhukya Yashwanth, a 20-year-old mountaineer from Telangana, embarked on an inspiring mission dubbed as "Har Shikhar Par Tiranga". His objective? Hoist the Indian national flag on the highest peak of every Indian state, all while spreading awareness against detrimental vices.

Recently, Yashwanth successfully scaled Manipur's highest peak, Mount Iso, accompanied by two officers from the Assam Rifles. A B Com student, Yashwanth's recent feats include conquering Betlingchhip (Thaidawr), Tripura's highest peak, along with Mount Gorichen in Arunachal Pradesh.

In an interview with PTI, Yashwanth shared the motivation behind his ambitious campaign: "I was deeply affected by thousands of people across the country getting addicted to betting apps causing losses to their hard-earned money and the rising drug addiction. I wanted to spread the social message against these vices by combining it with my passion for mountaineering."

The collaboration with the Assam Rifles not only provided essential logistical support but also added a symbolic spirit of camaraderie to the expedition. Yashwanth acknowledged that their presence made the experience even more memorable.

Up next on Yashwanth's itinerary? He's planning to tackle the highest peaks in Mizoram and aims to complete climbing the highest peaks in all northeastern states within the next few days.

Yashwanth's passion for mountaineering began at the tender age of 16, and in 2021, he even scaled Africa's Mt. Kilimanjaro. Now, he sees each summit as a tribute to the Indian Tiranga and the spirit of India, urging everyone to focus on health and integrity rather than shortcuts and destructive habits.

As Yashwanth's journey continues, so does the hope reignited in our hearts for a healthier and more unified nation dedicated to overcoming adversity and inspiring others.
