Mandatory Aadhaar Verification for Prompt Railway Reservations Implemented by Indian Railways

Zonal Railways have been directed to spread awareness and issue clear guidelines, and CRIS and IRCTC are working closely to ensure a smooth transition.
It is also advised that travellers who plan to book online as soon as the reservation window opens should ensure their Aadhaar is linked. It is unclear at this time whether Aadhaar authentication is already being used for Tatkal ticket bookings, but it is likely that further updates will be provided as the transition approaches.
