Manchester United's negotiations with Aston Villa over Alejandro Garnacho's transfer seem to be advancing, as the proposed transfer fee has been reduced.

Manchester United's potential transfer of Alejandro Garnacho to Aston Villa appears to be on the verge of becoming a reality, given the reported reduction in transfer fee.

Aston Villa could soon welcome a new addition to their squad, as reports suggest that Alejandro Garnacho, the 21-year-old winger currently out of favour at Manchester United, is available for transfer.

Manchester United are keen to sell Garnacho outright, primarily due to Financial Fair Play considerations and the need to balance their books. His previous valuation of around £70 million is expected to be significantly lower now, given his deteriorated relationship with the club.

Aston Villa have emerged as serious contenders for Garnacho's signature, with their head coach Unai Emery reportedly a fan of the youngster. Villa are particularly interested in securing Garnacho this summer, as they have yet to replace Marcus Rashford, whom they previously loaned from United, with a permanent deal.

Manchester United appear willing to lower their demands on Garnacho to facilitate his departure, driven by the need to generate maximum profit while moving on several players. Garnacho himself prefers to remain in the Premier League rather than move abroad, a preference that aligns well with Villa's interest.

However, Villa's financial position is precarious, and they have been forced to sell key players in recent transfer windows. This could mean that they may need to sell more players before making any new acquisitions.

Garnacho's move to Aston Villa is not without its complications. He hasn't yet shown all the promised talent since breaking through, but a move away and a fresh start may allow him to do so. His current valuation, according to Transfermarkt, stands at €45 million.

Despite interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and Europe, these moves appear to be off the table for Garnacho. He fell down the pecking order under Ruben Amorim at Manchester United, scoring 11 goals and recording 10 assists last season, but failing to secure a place in the Europa League starting XI.

As negotiations progress, a move to Aston Villa could become a likely scenario for Garnacho, providing a new opportunity for both player and club to thrive.

Aston Villa is keen to secure Alejandro Garnacho's signing, seeing him as a potential replacement for Marcus Rashford, and their head coach, Unai Emery, is a known admirer of the 21-year-old footballer. Garnacho's transfer to Aston Villa could be advantageous for both parties, as he prefers to stay in the Premier League and Villa needs a boost in their sports department, specifically in football.
