Manchester United’s late collapse hands Tottenham dramatic 10th straight win

Manchester United's pre-season was marred by an injury to midfielder James Maddison, who tore his ACL. In a thrilling Premier League match, Tottenham snatched a late victory, extending United's winless streak against them to 10 games.

The game started brightly for United, with Bryan Mbeumo scoring his sixth goal of the season in the first half. This looked set to be the difference until substitute Mathys Tel equalised with just six minutes of normal time remaining. However, Tottenham's Richarlison had other plans. In the first minute of stoppage time, he put Tottenham ahead, much to the frustration of Manchester United fans like 'Angry Ginge', who was caught on camera expressing his dismay. Maddison, recovering from his ACL injury, watched from the sidelines as Matthijs de Ligt scored a dramatic 96th-minute equaliser for United, but it was not enough to prevent Tottenham from securing the win.

Maddison's injury continues to be a setback for United, while Tottenham's late winner extends their dominance over their rivals. Despite the late drama, both teams will need to improve their performances as the season progresses.
