In the summer of 2020, a promising young talent named Jude Bellingham found himself in talks with Manchester United, a club with a rich history and a desire to secure his services. However, the details of the three men present at the negotiations remain undisclosed to the public.

At the time, Bellingham was a teenager on the brink of greatness. Despite the interest from Manchester United, he ultimately chose to join Borussia Dortmund, kickstarting a career that has since seen him play 100 times for the German club, scoring 38 goals.

His performances in Germany were impressive enough to earn him a move to Real Madrid, where he continues to make a name for himself. Bellingham's talent has not gone unnoticed, as he is now an England international, approaching a half-century of caps for the Three Lions, having racked up 44 outings in the national team since his 2020 debut.

Former Manchester United captain, Robson, had a meeting with Bellingham to help the Red Devils secure his signature. Speaking to OLBG, Robson believes Bellingham would be a perfect midfield solution for Manchester United's current issues. He suggests pairing Bellingham with one of United's current midfield players due to his defensive responsibility and passing ability, which could potentially bring Bruno Fernandes into the game more.

The meeting took place at Carrington, Manchester United's training ground, and was attended by two well-known figures in the club's history – Sir Alex Ferguson and Eric Cantona. Despite the meeting, Manchester United were unable to sign Bellingham, who ultimately chose Borussia Dortmund over the English giants.

Bellingham's talent has been recognised, as he is ranked at no.2 in the list of the best attacking midfielders on a renowned website. As he continues to excel in his career, it's hard not to wonder what could have been if he had chosen Manchester United in 2020.
