In the world of football, rumours and speculation are rife, and the potential transfer of Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest to Manchester City has been a hot topic of discussion. However, it's important to note that the deal is not confirmed, and the financial terms of the potential agreement remain undisclosed.

Morgan Gibbs-White, a 24-year-old England international attacking midfielder, has been linked with a move to Manchester City. The interest in Gibbs-White is allegedly from Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, who is said to be looking to make changes to his squad for the future.

Nottingham Forest, however, are not currently looking to sell Gibbs-White, according to Fichajes. Gibbs-White has scored one goal in four Premier League matches for Forest this season, and his performances could potentially influence any decision to sell. A big offer could potentially change Forest's stance, but as of now, no such offer has been made public.

Last summer, Manchester City reportedly expressed interest in signing Gibbs-White, but they were unhappy with the asking price from Nottingham Forest, which was initially £100 million but later came down to £70 million. Gibbs-White had two years left on his Forest contract, which included a release clause set at £60 million. Despite Manchester City's earlier interest, they moved on to other targets.

Interestingly, Tottenham Hotspur tried to trigger Gibbs-White's £60 million release clause but failed to meet all the conditions attached to it. This led to Nottingham Forest accusing Tottenham of an illegal approach and subsequently securing a new contract for Gibbs-White.

As of now, there is no news indicating that Manchester City has reactivated their pursuit of Gibbs-White after this summer's window. With Manchester City aiming to win the Premier League title for the fifth season in a row and Nottingham Forest facing a possible relegation to the Championship, the future of Gibbs-White remains uncertain.
