In the world of football transfers, the race for Kai Havertz has taken an interesting turn, but it seems that the competition between Manchester City and Chelsea remains unaffected.

Reports suggest that Fabrizio Romano's latest update indicates that Kingsley Coman may join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, but this does not impact the Havertz transfer race between Manchester City and Chelsea.

Last season, Havertz, a German international, played 33 games across all competitions for RB Leipzig, scoring 11 goals and providing 8 assists. He joined Leipzig from PSG six months ago for €50 million, and the German club could potentially profit significantly from his transfer.

Manchester City, on the other hand, is considering Havertz as a potential replacement for Savic. The English club has approached Havertz's super-agent Ali Barar to discuss potential transfer terms, and they have entered the race to sign the 22-year-old Dutch midfielder.

Chelsea, too, remains interested in sealing the deal for Havertz. The London club has offered him a long-term contract until 2032 with an option to extend. Chelsea and RB Leipzig have been in talks regarding Havertz for several weeks.

However, a recent development in the transfer landscape involves Arsenal. Kai Havertz, originally from Chelsea, is currently an Arsenal player but suffered a knee injury that will sideline him for an uncertain period. This has left Arsenal short of center forwards. In response, Arsenal is reportedly interested in signing forwards such as Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson, who is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge and could be available if his price drops.

Meanwhile, there are rumours surrounding the future of Manchester City's Manuel Akanji and Chelsea's Wesley Fofana. Akanji is linked with a transfer away from City to Galatasaray, while Fofana has removed club references from his social media, hinting at a possible departure.

In summary, the current transfer dynamics involve Arsenal coping with Havertz’s injury by potentially targeting Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson, but there is no reported competition between Manchester City and Chelsea for Havertz’s transfer in 2025. The transfer battle between these two premier clubs may reach its conclusion in the coming days.
