Man United's triple victory propels them into the Women's Champions League for the first time.

Manchester United's women's team has made history by qualifying for the Women's Champions League group stage for the first time. This achievement came after a 3-0 home victory over SK Brann, securing an aggregate score of 3-1 in their favour.

Elisabeth Terland, a striker for Manchester United, was the star of the show, scoring a hat-trick in the match. Terland opened the scoring in the 9th minute, doubled the lead in the 13th minute, and sealed the victory with a right-foot shot in the 62nd minute.

Brann battled bravely but were unable to prevent Manchester United from qualifying. Their insistence on playing the ball out from the back led to them giving up possession cheaply and getting harshly punished for errors.

Meanwhile, in the qualifying rounds elsewhere, Real Madrid progressed into the group stage with a 3-0 home win over Eintracht Frankfurt, achieving a 5-1 aggregate score. Atletico Madrid also joined the party, beating Hacken 2-1 on the night, securing a 3-2 victory on aggregate.

The qualification of these teams, along with 14 others including Roma and Atletico Madrid, will be determined in Friday's draw for the Women's Champions League group stage. The losers of Thursday's third qualifying round games will drop into the newly-formed Europa Cup at the second-round stage.

Roma secured their place in the group stage with a 2-0 away win over Sporting, which gave them a 3-2 win on aggregate. Luany Rosa scored a penalty in the 10th minute of stoppage time for Atletico Madrid, while Synne Jensen scored three minutes into extra time to add to their aggregate score.

Elisabeth Terland, who made her first appearance in the UEFA Women's Champions League group stage with Manchester United in 2025, is undoubtedly a player to watch in the upcoming tournament. Her hat-trick against SK Brann will no doubt be a highlight of the group stage.

As the Women's Champions League group stage approaches, fans are eagerly anticipating the matches and the spectacle that they will bring. With the likes of Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Manchester United all in contention, it promises to be an exciting tournament.
