Man reveals his rationale for dissolving KRAIL organization.
In an interview with "Ukrainian News," financial committee head Daniel Getmantsev expressed his views:
"I firmly believe that the inactivity and incompetence of the KRAIL's leadership, who've failed to create an online monitoring system in three years, is the main reason for its liquidation," Getmantsev stated emphatically.
He went on to mention that the fundamental responsibility of any government official is to achieve their assigned objectives, whether through collaboration or stepping aside, and that the public need not delve into the intricacies of the government's dealings with the KRAIL.
"It's neither me, nor you, nor society's concern why a manager reaches an agreement or disagreement with the Ministry of Finance over funding a specific project within their Cabinet. That's their job. I reject any funding-related arguments, as funds were indeed allocated. I suspect the lack of an online monitoring system is a deliberate obstruction by state officials, acting on behalf of certain gambling organizers," he said.
Recall that bill No. 9256-d, which proposes the KRAIL's dissolution and regulations for the gambling industry, is scheduled for Rada's consideration in October.
However, the business community appears to disagree with Getmantsev and the KRAIL on this issue. This disagreement is rumored to stem from the KRAIL's firm stance on lottery operators' activities.
Background:
Established in 2020, Ukraine's gambling regulator, the KRAIL, oversees licensing and enforcement for casinos, lotteries, and online gambling. Opposition to operators often arises from issues like compliance violations, tax disputes, or illicit activities.
Controversies within this sector are commonly characterized by regulatory crackdowns on unlicensed operators, tax evasion allegations, or anti-money laundering efforts. However, there's currently no concrete evidence linking Getmantsev or the KRAIL to these issues.
Despite extensive online research, there's scant information directly relating Getmantsev to gambling businesses or the KRAIL. The only mention is his criticism of U.S. tariffs on Ukrainian imports as "economic cynicism" in April 2025[1].
Recommendation: To find more precise and actionable information, one should analyze recent Ukrainian parliamentary proceedings, KRAIL press releases, or legislative records for authoritative statements involving Getmantsev and gambling regulation.

- "The disagreement seems to originate from the KRAIL's firm stance on lottery operators' activities, a point of contention for the business community."
- "Getmantsev argued that the incompetence of the KRAIL's leadership, particularly their failure to establish an online monitoring system, led to its potential liquidation."
- "In the realm of policy-and-legislation and politics, Getmantsev suggested that funding-related arguments be disregarded, as funds were indeed allocated for the KRAIL."
