Malicious conversation at an elegant dinner, as one individual cryptically suggests hate towards the others present.
In the latest episode of "Das perfekte Dinner" on VOX, economics student Caro, aged 27, from Krefeld, showcased her culinary skills and won the hearts of her fellow participants with her creative presentation arrangements and delicious dishes.
Caro's presentation arrangements, themed around freshness with a yellow and green colour scheme, were admired by all. However, fellow participant Axel expressed feelings of envy towards Caro's well-organised setup.
The episode's highlight was Caro's main course, homemade tortelloni with lemon flavor and green asparagus, which was heartily celebrated, even by the declared carnivore Thomas. Surprisingly, Thomas, who typically avoids sugar, made an exception for Caro's lemon cake with meringue and homemade Irish cream.
Caro's starter, cannelloni of yellow beet and fresh goat cheese, nectarine balls, fried goat cheese balls, marinated field salad, served with spelt yogurt bread with garlic butter, was also well-received. The nectarine, however, was criticised for its bland taste, which was attributed to the season.
Jenny, another participant, found Caro's presentation to be pressure-free, while Axel complained that Caro was not building any tension. Despite this, Jenny and Axel, along with Thomas and Steffen, each gave Caro ten, nine, and nine points, respectively.
Caro's motto for the menu was "Too much can't be too little," a philosophy that seemed to resonate with the judges, as Caro scored a solid 38 points, taking the lead on her culinary "quiz chair."
This article was created in cooperation with teleschau. Caro's vegetarian dishes, prepared to accommodate her chopping assistant Theresa who follows a vegetarian diet, were not specifically reviewed or scored on the show.
Despite her nerves, comparing the show to a well-known quiz show, Caro delivered a memorable performance that left the Krefeld group on day 2 of the show in high spirits.
