Major Boxing Event Taking Place on March 1, 2025 at Stadtwerke Box-Cup Venue in Offenbach
The Nordend Boxing Club Offenbach, a local sports association based in Offenbach am Main, is set to host the annual Stadtwerke Box-Cup on March 1, 2025, at the Sportfabrik Offenbach. This year's event promises an exciting night of boxing, featuring both local talents and international top boxers from Spain and Poland.
Founded in 2003 at the Nordend Youth Center, the Nordend Boxing Club has been a pillar of the community for over two decades. With around 100 active members, the club offers more than just boxing training. It provides assistance with job searches, school problems, and even mandatory homework help for those with poor grades.
The club's concept of boxing emphasizing respect and responsibility has earned it numerous awards. Its commitment to social responsibility is further demonstrated by its partnership with Stadtwerke Offenbach, the city's utility company. Stadtwerke Offenbach has been the main sponsor for the Nordend Boxing Club, donating 15,000 euros per year since its founding.
The upcoming event will feature a total of ten fights, including both men and women. A highlight of the evening will be a sparring exhibition match between reigning world champion Sarah "Babyface" Bormann from Bad Soden and the current Spanish European champion Isabel Rivero from Valladolid.
In addition to the exciting matches, the event will also see three Bambinis from the Nordend Boxing Club face off against three Bambinis from the Box-Gym Hanau-Kesselstadt in a sparring match. Two young boxers from Hanau will represent the Offenbach team in these fights.
Offenbach's Mayor Dr. Felix Schwenke praises the Nordend Boxing Club's engagement and the Stadtwerke's contribution to the city society through their donations and sponsorship activities. The Stadtwerke CEO Peter Walther supports the partnership with the Nordend Boxing Club due to the club's alignment with their sponsorship guidelines.
Tickets for the event are available at the box office for 20 euros for adults and 10 euros for youth. If you're interested in staying updated on news from the city and district of Offenbach, you can subscribe to the free newsletter.
