Major artists such as Liam Gallagher, Manics, Iggy Pop, Queen, Architects, and others, will be headlining the vinyl re-releases for National Album Day 2025.
In its eighth edition, National Album Day is set to return on Saturday, October 18, 2025. This year, the theme is centred around rock music, with a stellar lineup of artists and albums ready to celebrate the format.
The event was launched by the BPI and ERA in 2018, and this year, the Album Champions for National Album Day 2025 are Wolf Alice, Nova Twins, Architects, and Iron Maiden. No other champions have been announced as of now.
Among the albums available is a 50th Anniversary Edition of Queen's 'A Night At The Opera', which will be given a release on crystal clear vinyl and gold labels worldwide. The album will also be reissued in the UK to coincide with National Album Day.
Wolf Alice, who were recently shortlisted for the Mercury Prize, are excited to be part of the celebration. Lead singer Ellie Rowsell expressed her happiness about being part of National Album Day this year. Nova Twins, who were National Album Day champions last year, echoed Ellie's thoughts on the importance of albums. The duo, Amy Love and Georgia South, stated that albums have always been the soundtrack to their lives.
Nova Twins and Ellie Rowsell emphasized the romantic aspect of albums as a part of being an artist or musician. They also mentioned that albums serve as portals to different moments in time, marking significant memories, and often provide comfort, love, joy, or healing.
The new list of upcoming releases includes Wolf Alice, Nova Twins, Architects, and Iron Maiden. Amy Love and Georgia South also highlighted that albums are not just music, but they are a piece of art, a story, and a journey.
Other artists participating in National Album Day 2025 include Liam Gallagher, Manic Street Preachers, Iggy Pop, Queen, Architects, Nova Twins, Amy Macdonald, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Teenage Fanclub, Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers (again), Elvis Presley, Lou Reed, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Patti Smith, Status Quo, Steve Hillage, Liam Gallagher (again), Iggy Pop (again), Architects (again), Kasabian, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
