In a significant boost for the agricultural sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.'s Farm Equipment Business reported a 6% increase in tractor sales for July 2025. According to the Farm Equipment Business Summary for July 2025, the total tractor sales, including exports, reached 28,708 units, up from 27,209 units in July 2024.
The growth in domestic sales was attributed to sustained land preparation activities, robust cash flows in rural markets following the conclusion of Rabi crop harvesting, and the normal progression of monsoon across most regions. Veejay Nakra, President of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.'s Farm Equipment Business, made these statements.
Domestic sales in July 2025 amounted to 26,990 tractors, a 5% increase compared to July 2024. The year-to-date domestic sales also showed a 10% growth, with 1,56,189 tractors sold from January to July 2025, compared to the same period in 2024.

The growth in exports was attributed to various factors, but specific details were not provided. However, Veejay Nakra highlighted that the continued agricultural activities and favourable rural economy dynamics boosted export sales. The normal monsoon progression in various regions further stimulated demand during the early season of crop sowing, which is critical for tractor usage.
The continued positive outlook for the tractor market is signaled by Mahindra's performance in July 2025.
