Mahatransco's PR Team Secures Maharashtra's First ISO Certification in Public Relations
The Public Relations Department of Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (Mahatransco) has earned ISO certification—a first for any PR team in Maharashtra. The recognition highlights the department’s commitment to excellence under the leadership of Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of Mahatransco. The achievement follows a series of innovative initiatives and a record-breaking 15 awards in public relations. The certification process was guided by Suchita Bhikane, Additional Collector and Executive Director of Human Resources. Auditor Shri. Vijaykumar Swami formally presented the ISO certification to Bhikane in a ceremony attended by senior Mahatransco officials.
The PR team has introduced modern communication tools, including QR codes and podcasts in its in-house magazine, Mahatransco Samachar. Their digital strategy extends across multiple platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Telegram, and Threads. These efforts have helped showcase Mahatransco’s work to a wider audience.
Dr. Sanjeev Kumar commended the team’s creativity, adaptability, and dedication. He also expressed confidence that the department would keep setting new benchmarks through impactful communication in the future. With this ISO certification, Mahatransco’s PR Department becomes the first in Maharashtra to receive such recognition in public relations. The team’s use of digital media and award-winning campaigns has strengthened its reputation. Officials now aim to build on this success with further innovations in communication.
