Maharashtra's rural school earns global record for patriotic anthem feat

A small primary school in Maharashtra has made history by earning a spot in the Cyber Book of World Records. Students from Zilla Parishad Primary School, Talwat Borgaon, joined a nationwide initiative to sing India's national anthem on Republic Day. Their participation secured the school an official international recognition—making it the only Zilla Parishad institution in the state to achieve this honour.

The record-breaking event took place on India's 76th Republic Day as part of a global initiative. Organised by Rashtravidya Geet and the Cyber Book of World Records, the campaign aimed to promote patriotism, cultural unity, and collective participation among students. Across the country, 1,82,529 participants—ranging from LKG pupils to postgraduate students—took part in the mass singing of the national anthem.

At Zilla Parishad Primary School, 49 students from classes I to IV joined the effort, guided by their teachers. Headmaster Shashikant Kulthe led the preparation, with support from educators Dharmendra Gore and Radhika Ambilwade. Their combined effort ensured the school's successful entry into the record books.

The achievement has brought global attention to the rural institution. The Cyber Book of World Records officially certified the school, its teachers, and students for their contribution to the initiative.

The recognition marks a significant milestone for Zilla Parishad Primary School. It stands as the only Zilla Parishad school in Maharashtra to receive such an international honour. The record is expected to boost the school's reputation while inspiring greater participation in future national initiatives.
