Magic: The Gathering Reveals 2026–2027 RCQ Schedule for Pro Tour Pathway

The schedule for Regional Championship Qualifiers (RCQs) in Magic: The Gathering has been revealed for the 2026–2027 season. Players will compete for a chance to reach the Pro Tour Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes in Amsterdam this July. The first qualifiers begin in early April, with events running until August.

The second round of RCQs starts on April 4, 2026, and continues through August 2. Local WPN stores and Destination event organisers will host these tournaments. Standard and Limited formats will be used in most qualifiers, though WPN stores may also offer Modern Constructed or Limited. Larger Destination events could include additional Constructed formats.

Winners of RCQs will advance to the Regional Championships, which kick off on May 8, 2026. These championships will be played in Standard Constructed. Top finishers there will earn traditional foil copies of Emberheart Challenger, while all qualifiers receive a foil Sowing Mycospawn.

Participants in RCQs will also get new promo cards, including non-foil versions of Ancient Stirrings and Sowing Mycospawn. The Pro Tour event in Amsterdam runs from July 17–19, 2026, serving as the final goal for successful competitors.

The RCQs provide multiple ways for players to qualify for higher-level tournaments. Prizes include exclusive promo cards and a shot at the Amsterdam Pro Tour. No German WPN stores or Destination organisers are currently listed as hosting these events between April and August 2026.
