Madrid's Real versus OM: Rulli Stepped Up His Game, But Mbappé Ultimately Scores the Winning Goal

In a thrilling encounter between Real Madrid and Marseille, it was Kylian Mbappé who stole the show with two penalty conversions, securing a hard-fought victory for the Spanish giants.

The match began with a series of missteps for G.Kondogbia, who conceded two penalties to Mbappé, one in the 29th minute and another in the 81st, the latter touched with his fingertips. Additionally, Kondogbia made two blunders on the ball, one in the 2nd and another in the 25th minute.

In a surprising move, T.Alexander-Arnold played in a defensive right-back position, a role he seemed to adapt to well. His efforts paid off as he assisted T.Weah's goal in the 22nd minute. Weah, an 18-year-old talent, also impressed with his ball skills throughout the game.

The Gabonese player, A.Tchouaméni, had opportunities to make a significant impact, but his deep counter-attack in the 39th minute went off-target, and a long-range shot was saved by Courtois in the 57th minute.

The Danish loanee from Brighton, M.Greenwood, struggled in his first start in a false-nine role, failing to adapt effectively as a creator.

Carvjal's performance was marred by several incidents. He was substituted in the 5th minute with a rating of 3, and his match was marked by a gesture towards Rulli at the 69th minute. Earlier, he had a duel with Weah at the 14th minute, and his match was further hampered by a late commitment that earned him a yellow card at the 54th minute. His finishing was erratic, with a post hit at the 6th minute and a missed open goal at the 45+3 minute.

The captain, tasked with marking Mbappé, had a tough night. Although he managed to keep the French star at bay in the second period, his clearances were not very composed, especially in the first period. G.Kondogbia was solid in dealing with counter-attacks before tiring and being replaced by EGAN-RILEY in the 87th minute.

Despite these challenges, Real Madrid managed to secure a victory, with the goal coming from Timothy Weah in the 22nd minute, assisted by Alexander-Arnold. The second goal, the decisive one, came from Mbappé's penalty conversions, executed with coolness and precision.
