In a fun-filled event to celebrate the release of their new movie, "The Map That Leads to You," Madelyn Cline and KJ Apa participated in a costar test that showcased their comedic chemistry and behind-the-scenes camaraderie.
Directed by Lasse Hallström, the movie is based on the novel of the same name by J.P. Monninger. The romantic comedy follows the story of Jack, played by KJ Apa, who embarks on a whirlwind summer of romance and travel, visiting various locations his grandfather wrote about in a journal. Along the way, he meets Heather, played by Madelyn Cline, while she is traveling Europe with her friends.
The costar test, organised for the occasion, proved to be a hilariously chaotic affair. The duo's extensive laughter during the test was a testament to their enjoyment of goofing around together during filming. One of their favourite memories from the set involved a near altercation with one of their security guards.
Despite their history, it seems that KJ Apa initially believed he had never met Madelyn Cline before, but the two had actually encountered each other at a gym years prior. The test also revealed some interesting facts, such as Madelyn's go-to snack at craft services, which apparently was a secret to KJ Apa.
Both actors have gained popularity from their roles in two of the biggest teen TV shows in the last 10 years: Outer Banks and Riverdale. Fans of these shows will undoubtedly be excited to see them together in a new romantic comedy.
"The Map That Leads to You" is currently streaming on Prime Video and has been praised as one of the best young adult romance movies in recent years. A full version of Madelyn Cline and KJ Apa's costar test for the movie is available to view for those who want a sneak peek into their off-screen relationship.
