Macklowe’s Sapphire Bourbon Collection Redefines Premium American Whiskey

The Macklowe has unveiled its Sapphire Bourbon Collection, a new line of premium American whiskies. The launch includes three distinct releases, each crafted with precision and aged to highlight unique flavours. Among them is a rare 13-year-old single cask bourbon, limited to just 200 bottles globally.

The collection’s foundation is a four-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon, priced at $65. This expression is bottled at 46% ABV and produced using sweet mash fermentation—a method that creates a brighter distillate than the more common oldnavy mash approach. The base spirit comes from an undisclosed Kentucky distillery, chosen for its quality but kept confidential.

The Sapphire Bourbon Collection introduces three distinct whiskies, each with its own ageing process and flavour profile. Prices range from $65 for the standard release to $1500 for the ultra-limited 13-year-old single cask. The brand’s use of sweet mash fermentation and expert blending sets these bourbons apart in a competitive market.
