Macbeth's enveloping obscurity alongside three Scottish fogs
The Verdi Festival, set to open on September 20th with a Street Parade titled "All the World's a Joke!", will feature a unique production called "You Killed Sleep". This timeless and breathless moment, evoking a Scottish mist from which voices and sounds emerge, is a visual interpretation of the psychological pain and the night of Macbeth.
The project, part of Verdi Off and directed by Damiano Michieletto and scenographed by Paolo Fantin, is destined to never end according to its creators. "You Killed Sleep" will have a future production in Parma, and will be accessible to the public from September 20th to October 19th.
Alessio Maria Comand, the artist responsible for the Verdi Off production in the Galleria San Ludovico, has crafted an immersive and thought-provoking experience. The production promises to be a captivating addition to the festival, with artists, bands, and choirs contributing to the invasion of Parma's city centre.
The Verdi Festival, known for its vibrant atmosphere and innovative productions, is set to deliver another unforgettable experience with "You Killed Sleep". Don't miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in the psychological drama and haunting beauty of this production.
