LV Care Group & Music in Action Bring Beethoven to Elderly Residents in Final Workshops
LV Care Group, in collaboration with Music in Action, is set to conclude its year-long outreach programme with a series of live classical music workshops. The final performances will take place on October 9 and 10 at various LV Care Group homes across the island. The workshops, part of LV Care Group's commitment to supporting the wellbeing of its residents, have been organised in partnership with Music in Action. Founded in Germany in 2012 by musician and composer Danny Chang, Music in Action aims to support disadvantaged children and young people through music. Thibault Blanchard, Manager of Music in Action Jersey, believes that live music can have a profound impact on listeners. 'It can lift spirits, spark memories, and bring people together,' he said. The workshops offer moments of joy, stimulation, and connection, leaving lasting impacts on both residents and colleagues. Chris Shelton, Chief Operating Officer at LV Care Group, expressed pride in supporting these meaningful experiences. 'We're delighted to continue our partnership with Music in Action to positively impact the island,' he said. So far this year, the programme has reached over 280 elderly residents across the island. Residents can look forward to enjoying Beethoven's Serenade in D Major, Op. 8, performed by a professional string trio. The final workshops in the current outreach series by LV Care Group and Music in Action are set to take place this October. With the programme having already reached over 280 elderly residents this year, the positive impact of these therapeutic workshops is clear. Both organisations look forward to continuing their partnership to bring the joy of live music to more residents in the future.
