Luxury Hotel Chain, Hyatt, to Introduce Premier Accommodations at Japan's Venerable Racing Course
Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Towa Real Estate Co. Ltd., an affiliate of the Toyota Group, have announced plans to develop a 120-key hotel at Japan's historic racing circuit, Fuji Speedway. Scheduled to open in 2022, the hotel will be the first in Japan under The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand and the first hotel in the world to be built by Towa Real Estate.
Located near the Oyama Parking Area Smart Interchange, set to open in 2021, the hotel's location will be easily accessible to guests arriving from remote areas by car. The hotel's proximity to Fuji Speedway will provide convenient access to motorsports events and the upcoming Motorsports Village facility, currently under development by Towa Real Estate.
The hotel will feature tastefully designed guest rooms and suites, each with a minimum size of 484 square feet (45 square meters). Guests can expect a range of amenities, including multiple fine dining restaurants and bars, an indoor pool, fitness center, spa, natural onsen hot-spring bathing facilities, and a car museum showcasing the historic significance of Fuji Speedway through an innovative presentation.
The car museum will be a unique feature of the hotel, offering visitors a glimpse into the rich history of motorsports at Fuji Speedway. The hotel's location will also offer unsurpassed views of Mount Fuji, adding to its appeal as a destination for both leisure and business travellers.
In addition to its luxurious accommodations and amenities, the hotel will also offer flexible banquet and conference facilities. With a banquet room of 5,381 square feet (500 square meters) and a conference room of 2,152 square feet (200 square meters), the hotel will be an ideal venue for story-worthy meetings and events.
